Nadine Parker
Postdoctoral Fellow
University of Oslo
I work as a postdoctoral fellow funded by the Sciential Fellows program at the University of Oslo within NORMENT (the Norwegian Centre for Mental Disorders Research). I have a broad interest in using multidisciplinary research to understand variations in brain structure and brain related disorders. My PhD work used a multiscale approach, from gene expression to environmental exposures, to investigate the neurobiology of variations in thickness of the cerebral cortex and its relationship with stress. Currently, I’m investigating the genetic underpinnings of structural neuroimaging phenotypes as well as the genetic overlap between brain structure and psychiatric disorders. I have a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (University of Waterloo, Canada), a MSc in Anatomical Sciences (Queen’s University, Canada), and a PhD in Medical Sciences (University of Toronto, Canada).
